One of my favorite spring looks from Toteme was this gorgeous suede top and white pant combo. The least practical for my daily lifestyle at home… but I really fell for the color palette… and always love a buttery spring suede (whether on a bag or coat). I even tried the suede top on while in New York in February… just for giggles (hard to justify that price tag for a piece that isn’t quite practical for me but always fun to browse and pull inspo!)

Spring Suede
Also while in New York I even tried on Dôen’s suede jacket to see if it might cure my craving. It was cool but felt a tad western / like an oversized vintage suede jacket to me and not quite the same vibe I was feeling. Toteme’s styling made this suede shirt feel more sophisticated.
Since then, quite a few good suede jackets have come out on the market ~ and enter this one from Sezane! They made their fan favorite, The Will jacket, in a mustard suede this season and it is really good. I like that it’s a true jacket (as the Toteme version is a shirt… and thinner and I also remember the Toteme shirt feeling stiffer where this Sezane jacket is really soft)… with pockets and it has a nice light weight to it. Lighter than wearing a heavier leather jacket but will still give you some spring warmth. An ideal layering piece as we ease into warmer temps!
Since I’m having a moment with this yellow lace skirt I tried the suede jacket over it and I liked that it felt a bit unexpected (from my usual at least). But I also plan to wear the Will Jacket with my go-to denim and a simple tee too, which is easy!
