5 Favorites Now | September 10

September! It feels really good to be getting into a bit of a regular routine again. We’re transitioning out of summer-mode (well sort of, it’s been a sweaty 100+ degrees here still)–but Rex started Pre-K and it has been so great to have him busy with school, sports and friends. Not going to lie though, I’m exhausted. I feel like I went back-to-school… and it’s taken me a couple of weeks to adjust to the extra commitments, social things etc. But we are getting into the swing of things now and a better routine with our nanny so I’m hoping to bring back more blog content again.

I’ve missed sharing weekly links, inspiration and random bits with you here, so I have a new 5 favorites for you today!

Jewels | Teeny Gold Diamond Stud Earrings

I’ve had the worst luck with jewelry over the past year. Somehow (I blame some certain toddlers) I’ve had a number of my stacking rings disappear. And I have lost a few of my stud earrings, I think also from various weekends away and putting my jewelry on hotel nightstands in reach of little hands. Anyway, I have been on the hunt for a teeny diamond stud earring that wasn’t too expensive but looks cute with multiple piercings and recently found and bought these. They’re great for a second or third hole if you have one.

Reading | Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney

Apparently I was so excited for Sally Rooney’s latest book, Beautiful World, Where Are You, that I preordered this one twice. Both of my copies arrived in the mail yesterday, ha. So I know what I’ll be breaking into this weekend. In other reading news, in the last month I’ve read and enjoyed: Beach Read and People We Meet On Vacation by Emily Henry (both are easy cute rom coms that end happily, just as you’d want them to). And currently halfway through, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I wanted to like this one more than I am, but still enjoying. I know it was some of my friends’ favorite summer reads so I was surprised to not be as into it as I had thought I would be.

Beauty | Osea Hyaluronic Sea Serum

It’s been so crazy hot here. I feel like that annoying friend complaining to my girlfriends about how sweaty I am at school pick-up everyday, haha… but on a beauty note, I’m a big fan of hyaluronic serum and recently became obsessed with Osea’s Hyaluronic Sea Serum. It’s amazing! I shared it in a recent IG Story and a number of you responded that it was your holy grail product. I’ve loved everything I’ve tried from this natural line. So if you’re looking for a fall beauty product to up your hydration I highly recommend.

Wearing | Blue Light Glasses

I finally snagged some blue light blocking glasses from Caddis (this is the style I bought) and I’m a fan! They’re so cute on a few of my girlfriends… also GP makes them look good, not so much on me, ha… but as long as they work right? 😉

Home | Decluttering, Art and Organization Mode

Last weekend my girlfriend came over and we went through my closet in a major way which felt so good! It’s so helpful to run older pieces you’re doubting by a trusted girlfriend!! Well that clean-out inspired me to keep going through our house and so our Labor Day weekend was quite organizationally productive. We had really let things go over the past year and a half during Covid. Tanner tackled our garage, and I even cleaned out our basement. I was inspired to take everything off our shelves in our family room, in an attempt to restyle and moved some art around too. A fresh slate for the new season always just feels so good you know?!

I moved a piece by Sarah Marlowe Hall that I had upstairs into our family room, and I just saw a new collection of her work is available on Tappan. I love the colors of these pieces that she made while in Oaxaca last year. And I remember following her closely while she was there which was fun!
