Luxury Handbag Chat

Okay so this post is long overdue, I’ve had a number of handbag requests and questions for the bags I’m into and what I carry. If we’re talking luxury / splurge bags––personally, I’ve fallen for The Row’s bags the most over the past couple of years. They’re timeless, luxurious buttery leather, interesting yet classic and practical shapes. I also love that you don’t see them everywhere.

I’m also a big fan of Celine (I use my classic medium size box bag allll the time and it’s one I never tire of––in fact, if money grew on trees I’d buy this one in multiple colors I love it so much––red, grey, black! ;P) and I think I’ll forever be a playful Gucci lover. When I am craving more of a statement / bold bag moment, I turn to Gucci. Some brands just feel right for you… and these are the ones that feel the most me these days.

So here’s what I’m currently into this season…

Realistically and as far as practicality goes I’ve realized I need a more slouchy everyday carry-all bag and the Bindle Bag in navy or chocolate brown have really been calling my name this season (I also dream of it in the off-white but that just doesn’t feel practical for my everyday mom-life). I also love the unstructured shape and look of the Lotus bag from Khaite (so dreamy in suede too)! These feel like I can carry all of the things, are comfortable for over the shoulder and chic! (This shopper tote from The Row is what I’ve carried for my work bag for the past couple of years… it’s just a simple, classic black tote but gorgeous. Also from The Row, this small shoulder bag in navy has been a style I’ve loved carrying this fall for a smaller day bag… it’s in-between a clutch and a medium handbag.)

Another line I know is a bit more everywhere but they came out with such fun colors this season and I’m totally into them is the knotted mini bag from Bottega Veneta. I’m partial to the chocolate brown, green, red and beige… but personally, I’d probably get it in the chocolate brown. I think it’s such a pretty, small daytime bag / evening clutch and the brown feels very versatile and not as much a one-off statement bag. I also love this cute crossbody style in this fall’s it color––green, which is also from Bottega Veneta.

A few other bags I love… I’m very into the bags from Wandler. This seems to be the perfect carry-all size (of course I also love it in black), and this shoulder bag style is so pretty and buttery! It’s also the ideal in-between / medium size for day.

And lastly, if you’re into a trendy bag moment––fur is in again. It’s not for me, but I feel obligated to report! 😉 I do appreciate a furry clutch (also this one) moment very much. Oh and another bag that isn’t necessarily for me but I just saw a lot of in New York and seems to be having a moment is this style from Bottega Veneta.
