5 Things | Jan 19

Friends! I’ve had a slower week this week (and Rex and Willow are back in school) which meant more time to carve out and dedicate to my blog again and it’s made me so happy! I’m hoping I can stick to a better writing / posting routine for myself this year as I love connecting and sharing style with you here so much.

Listening To: Better Days, OneRepublic ~ this instantly puts a little pep in my step as I walk out the door for my daily walks

Researching Travel: I’ve spent the past couple of weeks researching where we might want to take our next family vacation and boy now do I have a serious case of the travel bug!! We are waiting for them to get a little older before heading to Europe but gosh, I can’t wait for all of the adventures to come with them over the years! Loved hearing where you’re all going this year on IG… so many incredible trips planned!!

Wearing: January has been wet, cozy and all about the basics. Living in this sweater, this oldie puffer (a really great lightweight / waterproof one for these rainy days we’ve had) on repeat and these jeans.

New Year, New Sneaker

998, 998, 998! New Year, new sneaker ~ this is my pick! Has the comfort of a sneaker you’d walk miles in but also stylish. A good walking to the office option if I still lived in New York / hill climbing in SF ~ this is what I’d probably wear. (They also come in this pretty shade of green).

Sizing Note: I returned for a half size smaller though so if you’re in-between you may want to size down.

Reading: Tomorrow, Tomorrow, And Tomorrow

Late to the party on this one, I bought Tomorrow, Tomorrow, And Tomorrow last year after hearing so many friends loved it… started it and really was enjoying but just got busy with life. A girlfriend reminded me of it so I picked it back up last week and now I don’t want to put it down! But also want to savor it! I am trying to hop into bed a little earlier for more reading time again…

Khaite Boot Debate

Okay I finally caved and ordered both pairs of the Khaite boots I’ve been debating since they came out. I wanted to style them and get your vote on which to keep but yesterday got away from me. So far I know I’m definitely keeping these! I love the heel height / they look great with denim / are super comfy and are exactly what I’ve been craving as a dressier boot option.

I invest in my boots as they get a lot of wear for me (meetings, lunches, events, date nights etc) and shoes really make the outfit, especially if like me you gravitate towards more basics for everyday. I’ll be trying the Marfa boot (more sizes here) with more outfits today and will report back. So far ~ the suede is buttery soft. So soft that they’re making me a little nervous how gorgeous they are. But I think this lighter khaki color will be nice as we head into spring.

Bar Earring

I shared a long overdue updated list of some of my favorite jewelry brands. And my most DM’d question yesterday was about my bar earring. I’ve had mine for years now from Hirotaka… and it looks to be sold out but this one is a super similar vibe and I am really into the more of a curved look for a rad ear story!

Super Magical vibes for 2024. This is a IYKYK ~ brings all the joy hat from my favorite Olsens IG account: Olsenoracle. Also took me down memory lane this week thinking back to when I met the Olsens / and they gave me the run through of The Row collection back in my ELLE days!
