I’m typing this after the most delightful neighborhood walk (iced tea in hand)… ‘Saturday Night’ by Khalid in my earbuds… that dose of spring energy! Today is supposed to be our first day in the 80s* and I’m so ready for a sunny-filled next couple of weeks!

Wearing: the basics* … my go-to tank (worth the price tag, I’ve washed / worn for a few years now and they still look great), these jeans, Sister Katie knit again

With that dose of spring energy comes the urge for something fresh feeling in your closet… but I always love pulling together a mood board for myself first. Taking a look at what I’ve been pinning / drawn to over the past few weeks… often times is the reminder I needed that as seen here, I’m continuously drawn to the basics that most likely are hanging right in front of me.

Just needing a dose of fresh inspo to restyle! A simple white tank with layered jewelry… worn with a cream colored skirt. A classic white shirt dress styled with platform heels. Strappy sandals * with last summers perfectly worn-in cut off shorts. A linen dress (coveting a few styles from Australian labels, Posse and Dissh)… or sweet eyelet style. A strapless tank and denim look for evening, with a pop of color statement bag.

I’m someone who’s basically in a rush to get dressed most days and lives in the same mom-mode / working from home basics… but thinking ahead a bit helps me when dressing, especially for those special occasions. Where are you going that month / what events are coming up / meetings etc… and planning your looks out beforehand will help you feel better about what you’re going to wear.

I love a mix… city vibes with California (leather jackets with linen)… old with new (vintage scores and your oldies but goodies with something that feels current)…
