Last week while in New York, I took Shaina Mote’s new fall collection of knits for a test drive around the city! Let me tell you they are so soft, and the fits are perfect!
I love layering my sweaters this time of year and their Lucile top in natural is the ideal base layer––the square neck is super flattering and the fit is just perfection. It’s super soft and can easily be dressed up or worn casually.
I finally found my dream robe sweater that I’ve been on the hunt for!! This one is still oversized on me but not overwhelming. It drapes gorgeously and feels so chic. I love that you can be cozy at home in it or that it can instantly elevate a look, making you feel more dressed up… especially with a heeled boot. Also, the color is in-between a sand and a grey making it so versatile. You can layer it over everything in your closet. Even just throwing it over the Lucile top with the denim I had in my suitcase I felt a bit more dressed up for dinner out in the evening.
I threw the boyfriend fisherman knit over my shoulders (because I’m always cold)––and love the look of sweaters knotted. But as the temperatures dropped, I ended up putting it on under the robe coat.

This cropped turtleneck is super cozy and looks awesome with high-waisted pants. I love the boxier fit and where it hits. Worn here with high-rise denim from Citizens of Humanity. And worn below with Shaina Mote’s essential jean in ivory (note: I’m wearing a sample so it’s a couple sizes up from my regular size… making them more of a boyfriend on me here). But this ivory denim color is absolute perfection. Such a great jean, I would just order my true size.
This is in fact the ideal boyfriend fisherman sweater! That perfectly stolen from your boyfriend oversized fit and look. So good and so soft. I plan to live in this one and also love it in the ivory color.
