House-party and cocktail-casual is the dress code! Pulling inspiration from fashion consultant, chicest of chic, Vanessa Traina over the years. Effortless but interesting, minimal beauty / hair with stand out pieces or accessories that make the look. If I’m heading to cocktails at a friends house for the holidays here are a few looks I’d go with:
- Jeans, boots and a cozy sweater but letting the jewelry (earring love!) or clutch make the look a bit more special
- Slip dress / skirt (I’d wear a slip under) with a leather jacket or leather blazer (or sweater on top if wanting to lean more casual). I like Vanessa’s brown biker jacket style with tights and a heeled boot for a dressed down holiday vibe.
- Stand out top (this velvet strapless style [more sizes here & here], this velvet bodysuit ~ the back makes it! and this sweet lace tank) with dark jeans or leather pant and a metallic lower heel (or these feel vintage-inspired and a pair Vanessa would wear)
