Fall Hero Pieces | Packing Carry-On for a week in Paris
The stars magically aligned just two weeks ago making this last minute trip a possibility… and I’m off to Paris to meet up with a girlfriend I haven’t seen in years! I couldn’t be more excited!! Also, after my trip to Paris last December, I made it my goal to get back to this city that I love so much again within the year, so I’m pinching myself that it’s actually happening!
Re: Packing Carry-On |
Since I have connecting flights I really wanted to go carry-on this trip. The lighter you can travel the better in my opinion (there’s nothing that makes travel more stress-free).
I was looking forward to cooler fall weather but the warmer forecast has actually made packing easier. This was also a good reminder that I truly love a minimal capsule. I only packed pieces I knew I’d absolutely wear / that could be mixed and worn together on various days. So here’s what’s going in my bag… some of my all-time favorite hero pieces with a couple of newer pieces in the mix.
My best tip for packing minimally is to try everything on beforehand… and pack within a color palette so that everything works together. To really think about what your days will involve and think about what you truly wear. Then edit and cut what you won’t wear as much of or any bulkier pieces. For this trip, I mainly packed some of my wardrobe staples and hero pieces from Toteme which are proven classics and forever pieces / perfect for traveling. (Color scheme: blacks, ivory and brown)

I try on all of my looks and then even after laying everything out and snapping these pics… I went back and cut some pieces.
Include some more special pieces / color pops or jewelry to personalize the looks.
* note, I tried this top in comparison to the Wardrobe NYC bustier top and was impressed with the quality of the Pixie Market one so that’s the one I decided to keep and save a little $$
The ultimate BB Creme that I discovered on my last Paris trip. It’s the only foundation I’m bringing — buildable coverage, is amazing for redness and spf 25.
