April you’ve been good to us! Highlights of late have been my afternoon hangs in our backyard with Rex and Willow and all of the al fresco meals (not much new over here, ha!). I will forever cherish these days––Rex and Willow’s energy is so contagious and we’ve had so much fun working on our garden bed. I’ve always loved spring but this may be my favorite spring yet? Something feels especially magical about the season this year. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that we’re giving more attention to our own yard and the joy of watching your own plants grow… or it’s the resurgence after this past year… or just that Sacramento really truly is so beautiful in the spring and the weather couldn’t be more perfect. Probably all of the above! SO appreciating these days.

I’ve also had a new project in the works over the past couple of months that has given me something fun and new to work on with my friend Sam (of Could I Have That?). It’s been a longtime coming and I can’t wait to share more with you soon!

A few snaps from life lately and a couple of quick links for you! Hope it’s sunny where you are! xx

Reading | Coffee Table Book I’m Browsing

I devoured this one over the weekend after my talented interior designer girlfriend, Ashlee recommended. Such a good one! And the moody green cover looks especially good styled on any table. Portraits of Home Disc Interiors.

Also flipping through: Francois Halard’s photography books and Georgia O’Keeffe watercolors.

Backyard Lounge | Folding Chair

This was one of my best purchases last summer––you’ve asked about it a bunch again on Instagram lately so I thought I’d link here. It’s the ideal grassy lounge chair!

Style Staple | A Fave Tank

I have always loved this cut of tank, I just find it to be so flattering and recently rebought a few more as they’ve proved to be the foundation of my spring / summer wardrobe for a few years now. This is a great one (also in white) at a lower price. Another fave more splurgy tank is from Totême.

Just for Fun | Floral Ice Cubes

On this week’s just for fun spring to-do list (right up there next to planting poppies, which we did and Rex and Willow had the most fun!)–I want to make floral ice cubes. I make these every season because they spark all the joy! Also, love putting edible flowers in my salads this time of year, because why not? It’s the little things.

Dish To Make | Japanese Sweet Potatoes

This past weekend while in St. Helena we had an epic meal at The Charter Oak (a must if you’re in the area), and I’ve been recreating the sweet potatoes I had there all week. No joke I’ve made sweet potatoes three times already this week… what can I say, I have a thing for sweet potatoes. My absolute favorite are Japanese sweet potatoes. I like mine slowly baked–crispy skin and creamy soft inside, with a drizzle of coconut oil. And now I want to make this kale, sweet potato and crispy chickpeas salad–looks right up my alley!

Also on repeat lately, my go-to salad that I never tire of: butter lettuce, arugula, cilantro, radish, cucumber, sea salt and olive oil. (If you’re looking for a new olive oil to try, you must try Prmry.)
