An all-black look is my go-to in winter and a great pair of black denim is essential in my wardrobe. I wanted to break down 4 great pairs for you if you’re in need of a refresh…
The Straight Leg Boyfriend
This is my ideal looser fitting black jean for everyday. Mom-life, errands, the weekends … a pair to live in. Also, one I’d totally dress up with a heeled boot and wear to dinner.
Sizing: I always size down one size from my true denim size in Citizens of Humanity / Agolde. More sizes here, and here.
90s Pinch Waist High-Rise Straight Leg
This is a cult favorite for a reason ~ that perfect classic black straight leg that pinches nicely at the waist. So, I think this is a nice in-between pair that can go casual or can easily be dressed up.
Sizing: I always size down one size in Agolde.
High-Rise Straight Leg
This is another classic high-rise black straight jean that I wear all the time. Also, they feel elevated and one to pair with a blazer and heeled boot.
Sizing:I take my true size in Toteme. These I did get hemmed FYI.
High-Rise Slim Leg
These are my go-to jeans for a date night (I actually own them in the cream color way and blue but am debating another pair in black). Also, they’re super flattering, suck everything in and elongate the legs which I’m always all about at 5’1”. The Danielle is a very high-rise cut so FYI I don’t think this jean is for everyone but a pair to try if you’re taller or in my case, I had these hemmed.
Sizing: I find that Khaite jeans run snug and the denim is non-stretch so if you’re in-between sizing or worried about sizing I’d size up. I have Khaite jeans in both one size up and my true size (just depending on how I want that particular pair to fit).
