2024 Spring Fashion Trends

2024 Spring Fashion Trends

My style leans more timeless and classic (even more so as I’m getting older) but as a fashion lover, I do like to keep up with the trends whether I decide to partake or not. Trends come and go and each season brings a new array of styles, colors, and silhouettes.

Fashion trends offer a way for us to infuse our wardrobes with a fresh excitement for the new season, add a playfulness and personality to our looks.

I wanted to break down this season’s spring trends in a way that felt easily digestible and a lot of these “trends” we already have in our closets and rotate in every spring (pastels, florals, fine jewelry!).

Whether you’re a dedicated trendsetter or someone who prefers a more timeless approach, keeping an eye on the current fashion trends is always fun and inspiring!

Here’s a little break down of some of the most anticipated spring 2024 fashion trends…

2024 Spring Fashion Trends

Ice Blues

Ice blues are set to make a cool, refreshing statement this spring. Think shades reminiscent of serene winter skies and frosty glaciers. These softer blue hues feel like a fresh way to accessorize your wardrobe. Perfect for transitioning from the chilly days of winter to the warmer sunshine-filled days of spring.

I have shared this bag multiple times now but it’s the perfect example of how I would accessorize with ice blue this season. It’s my dream spring tote! Also love this ice blue pochette bag from Savette. You can also pair it with my favorite jeans for spring and a pair of suede ankle boots.

Then for accessories, I would finish this look with silver jewelry and acetate sunglasses.

Lowkey Florals

If you’ve been following along with me for a while, you know that my style is predominantly elevated basics. In fact, one of my favorite ways to shake things up with my wardrobe is adding in the occasional floral. Florals always speak to my feminine side. What’s more springy than floral print, right?

Start with your base floral piece like this sweet Calsi dress from Dôen. It’s effortless, feminine, and a classic slip dress style that I love. When I’m wearing a more feminine piece I like to contrast the look with something structural and or edgy like a leather jacket

Depending on the occasion, you could dress this floral dress up with a heel or wear with a trendy mesh ballet flat (also love these). I would also style the look with a delicate chain or chunkier gold necklace.

Lavender and Lilac

Lavender and lilac hues are set to dominate the color palette this spring. These colors bring a sense of sweetness and serenity to your wardrobe. But shocker, like ice blue, Khaite again made these soft and romantic shades feel especially cool this spring.

Embrace a pop of lavender and lilac into your neutral spring ensembles with your heels, sneakers or bag (I also love this one for a beachy vacay). I’m not usually one to wear lavender / lilac… but when done right it looks so good on others and I do love Khaite’s take on the hue this season.

I have the shorter sleeve version of this rib-knit top from Ulla Johnson and love the pink opal iridescent shimmer. It’s such a fun one! Pair it with neutral strappy heels and silver jewelry which always looks great with lavender.

Business Casual

We know by now that I love a great blazer. Business casual is a versatile and practical option for spring style and I’m here for it. A blend of relaxed comfort with professional polish.

Easily transform your basics by adding tailored separates like blazers, trousers, or button-down shirts. My go-to business casual vibe is all about finding a standout blazer and going from there. I also love this gorgeous woven neutral blazer from Toteme. Add sleek taper jeans, mid-calf boots, a belt with a statement buckle, and then simple jewelry

Pastels

Soft and dreamy pastel shades are a favorite for spring each year and this year is no exception. Pale pinks to mint greens, pastel hues add soft touch to any look. Personally I prefer to accessorize my outfits with pastels when it comes to styling this color trend.

But if pastels are your color ~ I’m loving this woven lace yellow mini dress for spring special occasions. It would be a gorg one to dress up for a spring wedding with delicate jewelry and nude heels.

Peep-Toe Sandals

Peep-toe sandals are always a must-have footwear option for spring. A stylish and versatile choice for warmer weather. Whether they’re flat or heeled, these sandals feature a cool open-toe design adding a playful and flirtatious touch to your outfits. Update your shoe collection with peep-toe sandals in a range of styles and colors.

I like to pair lower heel peep-toe sandal with comfortable denim jeans, a cropped sweater, and a nice necklace

Double Denim

Like pastels, double denim is another always on trend for spring. This look is totally iconic and involves pairing denim jeans with a denim jacket or top for a stylish and coordinated ensemble that is all about casual coolness. Experiment with different washes and textures of denim.

Two favorite denim layers of mine this spring to pair with my jeans have been this classic blue wash denim jacket from Nili Lotan. And this denim shirt from Agolde which is a closet staple and ideal for spring layering. Wear with your go-to sunglasses and accessorize with an edgy statement on your ear like a cool bar earring

Fine Jewelry

I never quite feel fully dressed for the day without my rings and layered necklaces on. Fine jewelry instantly elevates any look and adds sophistication and a timeless elegance to even the most casual of outfits. I have collected pieces from my favorite fine jewelry makers over the years… and every piece has it’s own story / carries special meaning or reminds me of loved ones / milestone memories.

I am a basic t-shirt and denim girl most days of the week ~ but adding layered necklaces always makes the look feel more elevated and like me. A casual tank top, jeans, sneakers, and special earrings to add a little extra to this everyday look.

Flowy Dresses

Flowy dresses offer comfort and style whether they’re maxi or midi in length and are always a spring staple. I like cotton and poplin styles for beating the heat during these warmer months.

I love a great ivory or black cotton-poplin dress, a timeless spring staple. La Ligne has some great classic flowy dresses styles this season, worn with a strappy sandals, a jacket, and delicate jewelry

Statement Handbags

When it comes to spring bags, I’m partial to raffia and woven beach totes out of practicality. I also love a gorgeous ivory or neutral bag for spring as well as fun colored bags to add that pop or texture to your outfits.

Dragon Diffusion is a favorite bag line of mine and I love this Santa Croce woven leather bag. It is the perfect pop of color in green to pair with a casual sweater, jeans, and strappy sandals.
