5 Santa Barbara Faves

Over here still playing a bit of catch-up after our week away—but I wanted to share a few Santa Barbara highlights from this particular trip because I know I have a few friends heading that way soon and these aren’t to be missed! Besides spending most of our time hanging at my friend Sam’s (of the blog Could I Have That?) house, we loved checking out these gems…

Lotusland—we spent a morning here with my girlfriend, Sam and her family, and the gardens are just so beautiful and special! The kids loved following the map and discovering the various gardens and pools and Sam and I were daydreaming about how fun it would be to throw a party there. (Katy Perry had her baby shower there this past year!). *Be sure to make a reservation a couple of weeks in advance.

Montecito Country Mart—for shopping and lunch at the adorable cafe, Merci. I am still thinking about the kale salad and bean salad I ate there––oooh and we also picked up a pale pink birthday cake for our family-style dinner one night. SO good! Other shops not to be missed in the mart: Covet by Kate, Clic, Poppy (for kids), oh and of course, Rori’s Ice Cream.

Third Window Brewery—another must for one of the best burgers (ever?!) at Third Window Kitchen. I ordered the avocado jalapeño burger and it was delish. Also in general, just a great kid-friendly outdoor eating spot.

Summerland—Sam told us to grab lunch at Field and Fort and to check out the shops before heading out of town. Garde Shop is not to be missed!

And near where we stayed this trip, at the Palihouse Santa Barbara (which is a total gem by the way!), is Handlebar coffee and I loved the edit at Jake and Jones. It was such a cute shop with both mommy-and-baby sections. And if in the area, you can walk to the farmer’s market.

I already can’t wait to get back that way! If only we were just a tad bit closer… we would go much more often!
