I met my girlfriends for brunch in Tiburon on Sunday and after checking the weather forecast I got very excited for the chance to pull out my fall sweaters. I wanted to dress up a bit (because obviously, brunch with your girlfriends is always a great excuse) and wore this Tove dress again (more styles here). Before leaving the house I played around with styling the dress a few different ways and ended up wearing this sweater vest on top. I love a sweater vest for layering this time of year –– there’s so much styling potential. Over dresses, tops / knits with a chic pant or denim… belted. A sweater vest adds interest / color / texture and can instantly transform any look or transition a dress into the new season. Also, since I’m petite I liked that the longer length of this particular sweater vest elongated my frame a bit (along with the help of a few inches in height from my boots).
I especially love this vest from H&M with the ties on the side (a very similar option to an Isabel Marant version that I just found at The Real Real). And this vest is another good save version, similar to mine.
