Spending half of my weekdays in San Francisco means that when I head back up north after spending a couple of days in jeans and a leather jacket, I sometimes forget how intense that dry heat can be when I come home (often a 20 degree temperature difference). So with temps reaching into the 90s in Sac lately, I’ve been on the lookout for more lightweight skirts and dresses to add into the summer mix as a cotton dress and sandals are definitely the way to go when running all over town on those never-ending-to-do list kinds of days.
Besides being on the lookout for airy dresses and skirts, I was also on the hunt for color. (Admittedly, I haven’t been into much color or prints lately–hence the gray kick.) So I was actually out attempting to add more color into my life when I spotted this neutral hi-lo Ella Moss maxi dress for only $37, and of course scooped it up. Who says you need color to be bold? Neutrals just feel right.
The best part though? I snagged this one up at my local Nordstrom Rack, and now that NR is available online, you can shop the similar styles here.
I brought my denim vest back out for the first time on this particular day (lived in it last year)–almost forgot how much I love it.
Wearing: Ella Moss Maxi (from Nordstrom Rack). Rag & Bone Denim Vest (similar). Madewell Sandals (love these!). Cleobella Bag. Ray-Ban Sunglasses.
