I will forever love a mood board and since you all seemed to really like my most recent ones (Long Weekend Mood and Neutrals Forever)… and have been asking for more simple everyday style, here’s a bit of inspiration I pulled together as we head into the weekend. But also, for year-round really! So basic and simple… but it’s the small details that really make the look. Loving an all-white outfit with black accessories, a black dress with white heels. Accessorizing a simple tee with personalized jewelry, getting the alternations and fit just right, that perfect faded vintage denim, the wear with everything blazer etc. I have had a lot of fun narrowing down my style this summer and I always come back to a wardrobe of classic pieces and basics that I can rewear for years to come and style in various ways. Also pieces that are essentially season-less.

– I was asked about investments and where to invest and I’d say a great blazer and a bag. I am absolutely obsessed with my Khaite shoulder bag at the moment. It’s proven to be one of my best hands-free mom bags ever. And a great classic black or camel blazer is such a great investment to throw over everything. The jacket always makes the look for me.
– I’ve been living in these shorts this summer and into black denim with navy.
– An everyday t-shirt dress that’s currently in my cart. Also such a chic knit midi dress (so me).
– The sandals I’ve been living in this summer (mine are beige but they come in a bunch of colors, also here). I just love that these look nicer and feel a bit more dressed up than your average flip-flop. I’ve worn mine everywhere from the pool to dinner.
– I was asked about what to wear on family vacations and to Disneyland this fall which made me laugh because honestly I would probably wear a sweatshirt and jeans with comfy / stylish sneakers. I was trying to remember what I wore to Lego land recently when we surprised the kids and yep, a hooded sweatshirt with black jeans and this jacket. (Which also comes in this pretty cream color now!)
– I love a summer white dress and have been crushing on this one from JCrew.
– I have been belting my denim and shorts for a more dressed up look. A belt brand that I love and think the price point is great, and another gorgeous one on my wishlist.
– I just ordered these linen white shorts after a long hunt for a white short that I liked. Fingers crossed, but they look like a good one. I’ll report back as Zara fits can be so off sometimes. For me at least.
