I’ve been playing around with the shimmer this week and you know what?–it’s totally putting me in a fresh mindset. Well that and this look.
I set out to recreate Dolce & Gabbana’s winter runway look which was inspired by the armor of knights reinterpreted with crystals, jade and smokey quartz. I used their new eyeshadow quad and shine lipstick in shimmer nude to create the smokey-meets-glittery, natural glow I was going for. I love that this look feels fresh on a gray winter day and can be easily dramatized for an evening out.
First step: highlight the corners of your eye and brows with the lightest, gold shade.
Next, to create the smokey eye, use the silver and grey shades on your lid. Smudge the darkest shade in the corners and crease.
Add a touch of shimmer powder to highlight cheekbones and finish with a natural, almost clear nude lip.
