The neighborhood decor makes me oh so happy. (I wish I could say that festive fire escape was ours).
This was my last weekend in New York before heading back to California to spend Christmas with my family so I wanted to be sure to fit in as many NYC-holiday-related activities as possible. One particular highlight was ice skating at the Standard Hotel* with my girlfriends on Saturday afternoon. (After a glass of champagne and spiked hot chocolate I felt like the next Michelle Kwan out there on the ice!). Another high was baking and decorating sugar cookies while watching Homeland with my guy. We OD’d on frosting but it was worth it.
Rag & Bone Sweater and Helmut Lang Vest (both, recent sample sale purchases).
I’ve started reading Grace Coddington’s Memoir and am really enjoying it… what a character. I also went to her book signing last week although she was sadly not as talkative as I would have hoped (I totally get it, she’s not a fan of the spotlight). Regardless, I was just as ecstatic to see that famous fiery red hair up close.
A new (Foley and Corinna) cutie.
Sunday stroll through the neighborhood (wearing: Elizabeth and James Parka).
* This is actually the perfect mini rink to go ice skating as it’s not too crowded or touristy.
