I just got home from the most relaxing wellness getaway with the True Botanicals team in Inverness. (Still wishing I was there ha!, but I sure missed Rex so it was also good to get back to his sweet goofy face.) These past couple of days were literally pure heaven and just the recharge I had needed after a few busy weeks on top of which T had also been traveling which meant solo parenting for a week (any mom knows you deserve a little R&R after that). An intimate group of us were invited to Inverness to celebrate True Botanicals’ newly launched brand campaign: Love Life–which was shot in the area. Shot by Inez & Vinoodh, two incredibly talented image-makers, the campaign is all about celebrating the beauty of our beloved Northern California coast. Now I’m a biased Northern California girl but really this area is sure something special! (You can see the photos on their website and social media… they’re really beautiful.). True Botanicals founder, Hillary has also been coming to the Inverness area for years and wanted to share her special place with us.
But let’s back up, if you aren’t familiar, True Botanicals is an amazing non-toxic skincare line that actually works. They’re an incredible Bay Area-based company at the forefront of advocating for clean beauty and products that don’t harm the environment. I’ve been using their products for a few years, first falling for their oils–both the body and face are still my favorite products–but became a true convert when I was pregnant and realized how important a clean skincare routine was. (They have an entire pregnancy-safe line).
A photo-dairy from the past couple days below… a chance to reset, join together with other wellness interested women, share stories and health tips, custom Shamanic facials, morning meditation, beach hikes, oysters on the pier, cozy fireside chats, and lingering farm-to-table meals at Sir and the Star.

Recognize this view? I was so excited when I got the email that we’d be staying at the same rustic cozy cabin spot we had recently stayed during our road trip… which, I actually think I may have manifested my quick return as I told T it was all I had wanted for my birthday this year (to stay there again). My birthday is next week and I got to stay there this week… I SO manifested it right?
It was pretty funny to be back in this boat house thinking about Rex running around and climbing on everything just a few weeks prior… and this week it was turned into a serene meditation and spa retreat!
This was my first Shamanic facial and it was really such a cool experience. True Botanicals facialist, Julie incorporates a mix of reiki and intuitive healing throughout the facial and although I was a bit nervous as to what this entailed, it was amazing to really relax and let the negative / stressful energy out. I also tend to hold my stress in my face (I didn’t even realize this tightening of my jaw is probably why I’m so headache prone)… and Julie taught us how to use a gua stone to really workout those facial muscles. Felt so good!
Our hike to McClures Beach. Such a special spot! Last time I was here I remembered the hike taking so much longer and realized that was because we were walking with a 20 month old. ha! It’s a really easy hike that leads you to the most beautiful beach at the end.
Lunch at the iconic Nick’s Cove.
The Antioxidant Booster is new to my PM regimen. I’ve been using for just a little over a week now and am already loving the results. You mix it with the serum, and put on after your oil (the oil will really pull all the product in). The antioxidant booster helps clear any acne, scars, discoloration and is such an amazing product for something all-natural. It’s actually made from apple peels!
A morning to myself… I read in bed, drank my coffee while it was still hot… I mean, these little luxurious are my idea of heaven!
Thank you so much to True Botanicals for such an amazing getaway!
