My mom, sister, and I drove down south to Ojai last Thursday for a mother-daughter pool and spa weekend in honor of mom’s (sexy!) 60th. (I tell ya, she’s making sixty look dang good, and I can only hope that I got those genes.) We’ve never done the spa weekend thing before so this was sure a treat for all of us (thanks for letting us steal her away Dad!). Her only requirement for the weekend was plenty of poolside lounging so we made sure to make that happen.
When looking into booking a spot to whisk mom away to, I turned to my jet-setting girlfriend Sam who recommended the Ojai Inn & Spa. Sure enough, she was spot on and I too can’t recommend this resort enough as it was the most relaxing weekend I’ve had in a long time! I feel extremely lucky to be living near my mom and sister again now that I’m back on the west coast and even though we get to see each other more often now, it’s sure fun to have a birthday excuse to do something extra special. (I’m convinced we need to make this an annual trip.) Here’s a glimpse into our weekend…
