Sharing a mini photo diary from this past week in Tomales Bay as I’ve missed putting these together… along with some of the looks I wore. All so simple and basic… mainly pieces from Dôen and Shaina Mote and vintage Levi’s… as it was jeans and sweater weather (my favorite!). Cozy knits and sweatshirts for the cool mornings and evenings and breezy tanks for when the fog rolled off. We spent everyday at the beach and I have to say in all of our beach days over the past few years with kids these topped the books. Rex and Willow were such troopers hiking into the beach all by themselves (well, with a little carrying / help from T and myself) but they lasted well into the day… building sandcastles, chasing the seagulls, collecting shells, picnic lunches… it was the best. We also tried to go back to the beach in the early evening which somehow we timed it perfectly everyday, just as everyone was leaving and ended up with the entire beach to ourselves. I haven’t felt that relaxed, unplugged and in the moment with them in a while so I’m just so thankful for that time together!
Rex starts kindergarten next week (which I can hardly believe)… so this was such a sweet end to our summer! It’s gone by all too quickly and at the same time I’m looking forward to a bit more of a normal routine! And looking forward to a more regular posting schedule around here.

I now own The Jane blouse from Dôen in multiple colors / prints it’s that good… the salt and black are especially great basics. It’s just so soft and breezy and great for year-round.
