With my lovely tour guide: Briony.
I’m still enjoying my play time in London and spent a good portion of my weekend exploring Notting Hill. The charming yet quirky pastel colored storefronts and apartments reminded me of my old neighborhood in San Francisco and made me instantly feel right at home (I sure do miss that city). I met up with my favorite London blogger, Briony (A Girl, A Style), who was sweet enough to give my sister and I more of a “local’s tour.”
Portabello Road was one of the first bullet points on my London ‘to-do list,’ (a) because I love Notting Hill the movie and wanted to find the bookstore, which is sadly closed by the way, and (b) because any kind of market is right up my alley (antique, flower, farmers, etc.). For being the tourist destination that it is, it’s still full of treasures (I’m bringing quite a few gems home) and I couldn’t get enough of it!
Wearing: Vince Leather Jacket, JCrew Chambray, Rodarte Tee,
I’m not even a big Robert Patternson fan, but for some reason I really wanted this tee. I took this photo instead, as I thought my guy would prefer that alternative.
Briony also took us along Westbourne Grove where we popped into Maje, Diptyque, Ottolenghi and Tom’s Deli just to name a few. For brunch we all ordered the same delicious dish of eggs and avocado at Granger and Co.
Thanks again B for showing us around!
