Between packing, looking for a new apartment (from across the country), completing projects, and goodbyes I really didn’t have time to even fully process the fact that we were closing this awesome East Coast chapter of our lives. It wasn’t until we were just about to walk out of our apartment for that last time that I finally had a wave of sadness. Oh how I will miss our life in New York!
I loved our city routine. I loved working at ELLE. I’ll miss my friends and co-workers, my neighborhood coffee shop, and my favorite juice bar. I’ll miss Soul Cycle dates, dining at my favorite restaurants, discovering new shops and exploring this inspiring city. (I could go on and on but I’ll save you that.) I also feel like I grew up a lot this year. They say if you can make it in New York that you can make it anywhere and I don’t doubt it. But, yes, change is good and always exciting, and I am so lucky to have had the experience AND to now have life long friends on both coasts. I’m looking forward to this next adventure, and New York I’ll be back to visit you soon!
