Friday can’t come soon enough as I’m sure you’re just as excited to hit the road / lounge on your couch / bbq / do whatever it is you have planned for Memorial Day Weekend as I am! I’ve been wanting to explore some of the smaller towns in our area so we’re headed somewhere new which makes the weekend even more highly anticipated for me as there’s nothing I love more than discovering new spots. (So stay tuned and I’ll report back whether or not it’s a go or bust.) Are you headed anywhere fun? Barbecue plans? It’s all sounding gosh darn good to me.
Speaking of packing up and heading out–I leave you with a mini style guide and what to pack for the ultimate kick-off to summer.
The travel look. | The Great Blouse (also love) + Trousers. Vince Slides (similar with slight heel). Madewell Bandana + Bag.
Hopping on a plane? Long car ride ahead? These cargo pants are the comfiest and ideal for traveling (plus they’re now on sale!). I have also been wearing this blouse from The Great on serious repeat as it’s easy breezy for this heat but also super stylish. Both will be going in my suitcase.
Poolside bikini. | I just bought this two piece and I love the high full coverage bottoms. 
The little cotton tank dress. | Boring? Perhaps, but I find that on the weekends it’s dresses like these that get the most wear. Plus you can style them up with a chic sunhat and patterned scarf.
What to carry: the basket bag. | I love this handcrafted black style from Clare V. You can let the stripes show or flip it for a solid look.
For a day exploring. | Madewell Tank + Shorts. Sezane Sneakers (super comfy, and true to Euro sizing). Janessa Leone Hat.
The cutoffs. | I now own these high-rise shorts ($69) in both black and blue. They have that vintage feel that I love!
