Jo Malone London’s Brilliant Blossoms

Rounding up my photo-diary of another epic trip back to London with the Jo Malone London team for the unveiling of their latest limited edition collection: Blossoms.  This new collection consists of four floral scents, three of which are favorites they’ve brought back and one new blossom: Frangipani Flower… which was a personal fave of mine!  The Frangipani flower is sweet and light (you may be familiar with it as it’s commonly in Hawaiian leis)–a mix of jasmine, ylang ylang, sandalwood and lemon.  Pretty much exactly what you would want to wear when on a tropical vacation–which is where the flower originates from (warmer regions: Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean).  The smell to me evokes bare feet in the sand, bronzed skin, beachy hair and a carefree confidence.

The rest of the Blossoms collection consists of: Silk Blossom, Orange Blossom, and Star Magnolia–all of which really are ideal scents as we transition into the warmer seasons.  The collection is also packaged in the prettiest of muted spring colors.

Our time in London kicked off with welcome cocktails at the dreamy Jo Malone London Townhouse (which you’ve now seen multiple times here!).  I just love to see how they transform the Townhouse for their various events but one thing is for sure, the building is always smelling delicious, the mood is set with their candles and the building filled with the most gorgeous florals.  This time of course, with a nod to the blooming blossoms we were about to experience that week.

Headed to dinner in a Dôen dress and Frame blazer.  This particular evening we ate at Chiltern Firehouse which has now become one of my faves to eat at when in town.  I love the quaint cobblestone streets of Marylebone, and Chiltern just has that cool yet comfortable London vibe.

The next day we were transported to an unknown location to experience the scents first hand….

the Jo Malone London team always keeps the itinerary and experience a bit of a surprise so we weren’t sure what was in store for us.

We made our way underground, through a maze of rooms experiencing the various scents through various senses: sound, vision, and scent.  (You can get a better feel for the experience in this video!).

Making our way to a gorgeous lunch…  the beet and pasta dish we were served was one of those beautiful plates that was true art.  And our lemon sorbet came out swirled in actual frozen lemons… you hated to bite in, but of course we all did.

Silk Blossom.  |   The sweet scent of a silk tree blossom (besides Frangipani, this was another personal fave of mine from the collection).

How pretty are the Frangipani?

Flavored water combinations for our “journey” through the experience…

Star Magnolia.  |  Green magnolia leaf and honey-sweet orange blossom.

Orange Blossom.  |  Clementine flowers and orange blossom.

Following our lunch we were broken up into groups for an afternoon of activities.  Floral crown making (which you know I love!)… and “marbling” our own Jo Malone London boxes to take home.  This was particularly relaxing!

The most incredible part about this room was the Frangipani tree hanging from the ceiling… giving off the most fragrant scent!

Thank you so much to my friends at Jo Malone London for another incredible experience and week
