I’d like to start this post by saying, 48 hours in Santa Barbara just isn’t enough. Could have used one more day but still, it was super nice! I had booked two nights at the Four Seasons The Biltmore a little while back and when my guy couldn’t go I twisted my mom’s arm my mom jumped at the chance to head south with me. I totally confused the hotel staff as they thought it was my baby moon so my mom and I joked for the rest of the trip that it was our mother-daughter baby moon. (Which by the way I’m now convinced is the best idea ever and everyone should take a trip with their mama before baby arrives!). My mom hadn’t been to Santa Barbara since my college search when I was in high school, and I had been dying to stay at the Four Seasons, so it was fun to share with her a few of my favorite spots and experience the old-school spanish charm of the hotel together.
A few of our highlights from our quick stay below–we packed a lot into such a quick trip and I got to see my childhood bestie, and blogging girlfriend Sam so it a complete success. Yet another southern California spot that I’m dreaming of heading back to again soon with both of my boys.
We lucked out with the cutest bungalow which I highly recommend trying to reserve (over a room in the main hotel) as it felt especially cozy and nice to have our own little private space. The dark wood floors, spanish tiles, and cozy fireplace set the mood for our romantic mama-daughter baby moon (hehe).
