I’ve had quite the awe inspiring week. Not counting this past weekend, which was spent in it’s own kind of Grand Canyon splendor, but this Monday through Thursday which was actually kicked off in Vegas. Hence the photos for this post. By the way, everyone’s trip to Vegas ends with a 7am photo op in front of the iconic sign right? (I’m posting these photos solely because I’d like to document that this happened–pre-coffee mind you.)
And back to this week. As you know I’m in San Francisco weekly, and so following our trip I was home for a minute, repacked, and headed back into SF for a couple of meetings. After being away for the past couple years it just makes me so happy to see how much the city that feels most like home to me is booming right now. Engineers / tech nerds, start-ups, and San Francisco on the whole are all having their moment… and I’m soaking in that energy. When thinking back on our road trip, of course The Grand Canyon was obviously the main highlight (except if you ask my friend Heather, she might actually say that dinner in the pink steak house at The Madonna Inn was her high)… but if you let me go cheesy on you, I’d also say the car ride conversations were right up there. So I guess where I’m trying to go with this post is that I’m feeling especially thankful to be back in my home turf, surrounded by smart, encouraging friends, and a dynamic tech world.

PS: If this mini stint in Vegas proved anything it’s that 12 hours is more than enough (for me) these days. Oh and enter the perfect white tee.
