I can’t wear my UGG boots without thinking back to college. More specifically, to a trip I took to visit my boyfriend (now husband) who was studying abroad in Australia during our junior year–in which I bought my very first pair. I remember many nights talking on the pay phone outside of a popular pizza parlour (which was always pretty embarrassing by the way) just to hear his voice. That Christmas my parents surprised me (they knew I was crazy love sick) with a ticket to go visit him, and still to this day some of our favorite memories together are from that trip. Of course everyone in our families wanted us to bring them back the popular sheepskin boots, so our suitcases were stuffed full with the various styles. I saved up my babysitting money and bought myself the classic mini. My original pair has seen better days and I’ve since owned a few various styles (including camo!), however I’d have to say the classic will always be my favorite.
I’m excited to be partnering with the Creative Council by UGG Australia–elevating the classic with an urban edge. I recently took my favorite updated classic mini with me for a morning in San Francisco and am sharing two musts to put on your list for the next time you visit the city: 1) Coffee and people watching at Four Barrel in the Mission, and 2) my favorite spot to take in the *foggy* Golden Gate view at Crissy Field.
