Without fail summer seems to fly by, and I’m having a seriously hard time understanding where July went. We’ve been prioritizing our upstairs remodel and have put off a true summer vacation. It wasn’t until I realized it’s August(!!) that I thought I would get serious about making the most of this final month of summer. To be sure we’re taking advantage of these remaining days, I’m looking forward to kicking off an exciting partnership with American Express and their Blue Cash Everyday Card to put some of my final end of summer bucket list options into action. American Express’ Blue Cash Card has awesome incentives and cash back opportunities which means I’ll be able to put this extra dough towards my summer wish-list.
So without getting too overly ambitious here’s my (hope!) to-do list by Labor Day weekend:
– more pooltime in general (but especially heading north to take advantage of my parent’s pool)
– one final epic summer backyard bbq with close friends–recreating a similar vibe to this evening (bonus: you can get 3% back on groceries using the Blue Cash Everyday Card which sure helps the entertaining budget)
– disconnect: tune out of social media and the interwebs for 2/3 consecutive days (I’ve been doing this fairly regularly this summer and it’s been the best way to recharge)
-DIY’s: macrame with my mama, and make dried sage bundles (I keep saying I’m going to do both and yet still haven’t gotten around to it)
– make another day trip to Tahoe happen (we’re too close not to!)
– plan an Oakland dinner date with a few of my college besties (update: I actually checked this one off since writing this post and highly recommend this spot for casual Mexican food)
– road trip with my guy down south (finally booked! and I’m counting down the days, especially since as a new Blue Cash Everyday Card member we’ll get cash back on all travel purchases and expenses)
