I think we can all say, when in doubt, an all-black combination is the way to go. It’s an easy fall-back that’s always classic and put together.
This look actually combines multiple “when in doubt” pieces all in one though. A couple obvious contenders: the black jean, that go-to black blouse (high-low is key for layering and draping in all the right areas), and the little black bootie. The real secret to the combination though? The black poncho sweater. It’s such an easy piece that always looks effortless and elegant and, most importantly, like you put thought into getting dressed when you really just threw something on and ran out the door. And in my world, this makes for the ideal weekend piece.
I’ve been cheating on my regular coffee spot (The Mill) this week–popping into Insight on 16th to switch things up. I have been getting over a cold and was excited to discover that they sell Sun & Soil juice here too so I made sure to get my greens on.
I loved that the two to the left were dressed as twins–wonder if they realized?
Remember this post and my thoughts on fall boots that transition well throughout the year? These are such a comfy little pair–the heel is lower than I usually opt for so for those who don’t like anything too high (Mom I’m looking at you)–this is perfect.
The Look | Vince Camuto Poncho Sweater, Blouse (I also love), Jeans + Booties.
