4 Ways to Add a Touch of Western to Your Fall Looks

Western-Inspired Fall Styling | 4 Ways

I’ve long been a fan of a subtle nod-towards western styling (maybe it’s the country girl in me), but I think more so especially in the past couple of years.  The trend seems to keep coming around and if you’re into it, this fall is the perfect excuse to pick up a few western-inspired pieces–or pull them back out if you already own!  Loads of denim, plaid, and a low suede pointed boot feel perfect for transitioning into fall right now.  The key is to not swing too far into cowgirl territory.  Mix and dress-up western-inspired pieces with your basics, dresses, and blazers for a chic country cool girl look.  Rounding up some of the pieces I currently have my eye on, and shocker, a handful from Isabel Marant who mixes western and city so well.

1.  A western-inspired boot paired with everything from denim to a chic silk slip  |  Look for a boot that isn’t too cowgirl, I’m especially drawn to a low heel in suede or leather with minimal adornment

2.  A felt fedora gives a slight western flair  |  I wear mine with everything from leather jackets to maxi dresses

3.  Embrace the western belt  |  Even looks cool when belted around a blazer with jeans (perfect mix of western and city chic for a night out)

4.  The western blouse |  Think exaggerated shoulders, denim, romantic ruffles, and oversized plaids
