Two Casual Weekend Looks + My Favorite Way to Spend a Sunny Sunday

Neighborhood walks to grab coffee.  Watching my husband make Rex laugh into hysterics (which then gets me laughing!).  Sunday afternoon picnics.  Listening to my favorite songs on repeat.  Trying a new recipe (or ordering in Thai take-out if I don’t feel like making a mess in the kitchen).  A stack of new magazines to flip through.  Letting Rex run around naked after his bath.  Reading bedtime stories as a family.  Curling up into freshly cleaned sheets and turning in for bed early.  … Just a few of the reasons why leisurely Sundays are my absolute favorite!

On Sunday we roll out of bed (I rarely get dressed in anything other than comfy loungewear–like these looks from Lou & Grey), and head straight out the door for a long neighborhood walk.  Our first stop is always coffee (Chocolate Fish) followed by the American River trails for a family hang.  I rarely bring my phone along, or even know where it is, and it’s just pure family time.  Rex is at the age where he just wants to run so we let him loose and chase him along the trails, watching him discover new things along the way.  Now that the weather is getting nicer we’ve pulled back out our picnic blankets and I’m looking forward to many more spring picnics and leisurely Sunday afternoons to come!

My Sunday look is always something easy, effortless and comfy.  Anything that makes me feel somewhat pulled together but also as if I am still in my pjs.  Which sorta makes the whole day feel extra leisurely!  Enter: Lou & Grey–their awesome selection of lounge-wear was literally made for my favorite day!  I’m obsessed with their linen tees (which are perfectly oversized), lightweight sweatpants (these are crazy soft, so comfy that I sleep in them too!), and easy layers like this tunic sweater.  Versatile basics that can take me from my weekend errands, to playing with Rex and out to a casual dinner… all while looking cute.

Thank you to Lou & Grey for sponsoring this post!
