We often teased my ex-coworker-current-RL (real life) friend, Lauren, about dressing in festival attire year round. She’d come into the office seemingly dressed for Lollapalooza, Coachella, Governers Ball, you name it–4 out of 5 days of the week and honestly, I was jealous. She just looked like she was having more fun than the rest of us (despite her crazy deadlines and stress levels). I mean cowboy boots and denim rank over pumps and leather on the office fun level right? Flash forward to last week, a couple days after Coachella, and I was missing Lauren and that carefree festival lifestyle that the desert exudes. So I decided to take a note from L and dress the part. The consensus? She was right, festival style any day of the week leads to a more carefree, and happy attitude. My productivity levels were normal so I’d say it was definitely a win. Thanks lady! #whatwouldlaurenwear
I also have to note these amazing moto boots which sadly didn’t arrive in time for Coachella, hence the reason why I opted to sport them around town after the fact. And I’m getting my fair share of use out of this road-trippin’ tee… adds to the free-spirited, well spirit!
And since today is Earth Day, I’d like to note how happy this park (McKinley) has made me since moving to Sac. I love to come here in the afternoons just to relax, think, and sip my iced tea or coffee. There’s nothing like good ol’ mother nature for a mood lifter / chiller-outer.
