I have officially turned into my mom and appreciate a travel friendly set / material! So much so that I now have this top and skirt in two colors. Honestly, I’m tempted to get the black or cream skirt as well even though that sounds crazy. They’re just so perfect for tossing in your bag when you’re unsure of the dress code or what might spring up. I love this gray color that is almost a silver in the light and would be perfect for a special occasion although I wanted to wear it more casually with simple accessories and a sandal.

Toteme has easily turned into my favorite line over the past few years as I’ve been slowly wanting to elevate my style… into my later 30’s with timeless pieces. The quality is luxe and while I sometimes have to be careful with the fit (being a shorty the coats and jackets are quite oversized on me)… I’ve learned what styles I can wear from Toteme. I also especially love their jeans and sweaters if you’re wanting to invest in a great one I have had this off-white style on my wishlist.
I originally packed a wedge to wear with this look but at the last minute I didn’t feel like wearing a heel so I went with the only sandal I brought. This wouldn’t have been my first sandal choice but I think it worked in a pinch. And I like the ease that it gave to the look especially with the sweater as the night went on. I would have preferred to wear it with a more simple style sandal (also love) or I would also wear with a heeled boot (or taller boot) and sweater as the temps cool.
I think you could also wear this set for a more formal occasion with the right heel (these would be so fun) and jewelry! And of course each piece on its own. I can’t wait to wear this top with jeans for a date night… I love the twisted detail of the straps.
Note | I’m wearing a 34 in the top (I could have sized down as it’s a little long on me but the fit was perfect and the crinkle material leads to the ability to tuck it into the skirt easily) and a 32 in the skirt.
