a casual date night look -- love a dressy long-sleeve

The Dressy Long-Sleeve

I love a dressy long-sleeve top for a casual date night out and this one is so good. I rarely say this but you need it! I love the color, the fit, everything about it. My girlfriends are always asking me for more casual dressy evening looks so I thought I would post this one here. Of course, it’s California so we wear a lot of jeans… but a chic top with boots and an oversized blazer is always my go-to option. Adding a mix of colors (the olive green against the gray suede bag)… still both feel like neutrals for this neutral loving girl, but it was a nice way to make the look a bit more interesting then say all black.

My blazer is an older one from Isabel Marant. But I found a couple new season options for you here. You can’t go wrong with an oversized wool coat. It’s proven to take me through the years as a wardrobe staple. I think I originally found it on The Real Real after a hunt / obsession with a Saint Laurent smoking jacket. Years later I couldn’t love it more.

And I have so much to say about this Khaite bag. You know my love of Khaite by now… well I have to say I have a few Khaite bags and this one might be my most favorite of them all. The suede is the softest I’ve felt! It’s definitely a special bag, I would save for date nights and special events extra (not necessarily one for everyday, but you certainly could). But it’s just so beautiful! I love the gray color which is a shade I didn’t own a bag in and it feels like a neutral without being my typical black that I usually opt for. Love love love!

The other bags on my personal wishlist as chic, non-logo options that check all of my boxes — a bit more unique but still very classic / great size are bags from Savette, By Malene Birger and Little Liffner. I love the brown suede of this Savette one… it’s the perfect size and is so comfortable to wear over the shoulder. And the Maccheroni bag in black croc, and this beautiful Noval bag is just so gorgeous and classic too.
