The thought of slipping into a bikini or even a one-piece just a few weeks postpartum frightens me terribly, but with the 90+ degrees heat this past weekend I pulled out my suits anyway and braved it. I mean, just in my own backyard that is. Thank goodness for tunics and caftans that double as dresses and make the whole summer swimsuit post-baby situation way more appealing right now.
I’m loving Cuyana’s assortment of coverups this season. They’re just my style–minimal, lightweight, chic and can be easily dressed-up summer vacay-style. This black caftan was my backyard lounge-attire of choice this past weekend but I’m also eyeing this gathered-neck maxi coverup (especially in my color-palette of choice, white and/or black). I have a similar short mini tunic that I pull out every season as a swim coverup so I also can’t recommend this style enough, as it’s gotten quite a bit of love over the years.

I’ve long been a fan of 9seed for the comfiest vacay pieces. I own this coverup top (it’s one of my faves to pair with shorts for a day poolside) along with matching pants that I always toss in my beach bag. All of their pieces are super effortless and breezy and just what you’d want to throw on for a day in the sun.
For a piece that’s a bit more dressy–say if you’re in Mexico for a summer wedding perhaps? I LOVE this eyelet dress... or a wrap linen skirt to put on over your suit.
For flirty florals and beachy dresses I’m loving: Faithful The Brand. Also, for bikini’s to wear under said coverups (I just snagged this suit from the brand).
