Before I had Rex and really understood the needs of nursing, when other girlfriends would mention purchasing special nursing tops I just kinda thought–why? Is that actually necessary? Turns out I was 80% right as I mainly live in non-nursing items… but I will say, having a few nursing items is definitely nice. Like a nursing bra or two–those are actually 100% necessary. Ha, what was I thinking before?
If I had to put together a nursing essentials must list it would include: 1 comfy tee-shirt bra, 1 cute bra (mainly for yourself so you feel sexy again), 2 tanks (great for sleeping in and layering under sweaters etc.), 1 long sleeve or sweatshirt (for working out in the cooler months)
I’m more of a fan of the simple, functional pieces and am linking a few favorite stylish picks below.
I found that a nursing sweatshirt or long sleeve was really nice for my mommy and me yoga classes. Since Rex was 1.5 months when we started this yoga series he was still eating under every two hours which meant he ate during a few of the classes. Thankfully these classes are super nursing friendly and actually the perfect place to be if you needed to. But this sweatshirt was the only item I ever wore to those classes. Sporty, functional, and stylishly simple (similar find).
