Sneaker Personality

Sneakers have long been a part of my style… I love to be comfortable and practical. My lifestyle and the walkability of our neighborhood means most of my days are spent within a few miles radius on foot (from school drop-offs to after school sports practices and whatever errands / workout classes in-between). I love that even if you have the most simple of looks on, sneakers are an easy way to add that touch of personality and playfulness.

After spending the past couple weeks in my pink sneakers (which as mentioned here, I honestly can’t believe I have gotten as much wear out of them as I have over the past year)… I thought I’d round up some additional fun kicks that are sure to add personality to any look. But I also threw in some more neutral pairs for those of you that I know love your more simple sneaker styles. Including the best spring / summer slip-on * (also comes in black, and I personally love them in suede).

Styling Them | What I love about a fashion sneaker is the mix-match… they don’t have to necessary go… and when your look is neutral, a sneaker with personality just feels right. Personally I’m craving bold styles at the moment. To pair with my predominately white and black spring / summer dresses and style. But I also love a simple white sneaker for a clean and elevated look (like these from Loewe that are the most comfortable sneakers ever! … and I love the look of this pair).

Sneaker Personality

I mentioned in my pervious post that I saw a women wearing this yellow pair of Nike’s. But I wanted to tell you about her full look. It was such a simple look that we can all recreate. However, she looked so effortlessly cool. She was wearing all-black. Black pants with an oversized black blazer and tee. This is with the yellow sneakers as her pop of color. A look that felt very New York to me. In fact, I wish I had stopped her to ask if she was from out of town.

It’s a look that I can’t wait to recreate. I instantly came home and ordered the sneakers after a little online search. What was also so cool about her look is that she wore this all-black ensemble to a dinner. It was in a wine country where most guests were in dresses. I always love when someone stands out. Simple, cool, effortless and more comfortable than those of us in heels.
