Honestly I’m not one to get overly excited about the Nordstrom Anniversary sale (early access ends today for card members–and sale is open to everyone starting tomorrow through August 4)… but since I got a few reader requests I thought I’d share some of my selects. The one thing that is good to remember about the Nordstrom Anniversary sale is that it’s a great time to shop basics from the brands you love that will go back up in price in just a few weeks, following the sale. I plan to snag a few items from Vince (sweaters for me and henley’s for him), my Oribe hair spray, a new fall Patagonia jacket for Rex, and a snuggly blanket for home. For Her: This is the time to shop for those fall investment pieces that you will live in. This sweater is the perfect slouchy silhouette that I live in. This coat in black. This wedgie fit Levi’s. And also snag your favorite lingerie items–like these boyshort panties that I live in and comfiest thong underwear. My top pick would have to be this cardigan sweater as it’s such a fall mom wardrobe staple for me. Perfect to throw on when running out the door and a go-with-everything kinda piece.
For Him: Tanner is very simple with his style so I’m planning to snag some of his favorite basics. Vince thermals (under $90) and polos (under $55) and Rag & Bone t-shirts are his weekend-wear go-to’s.
For the Kids: Rex lives in his Patagonia jacket come fall. The cutest leather converse hightop and those baby Adidas (!!).
For the Home: You know I love to entertain and I never seem to have enough cheese knifes so I’m thinking of snagging these.
Beauty: Stocking up sunscreen and on my fave styling sprays from Oribe–this is such a great set! Also I love Lancer’s face scrub.
