I brought a dose of California casual back to New York with me last week. Running around that city in heels just didn’t sound appealing and even though I packed a pair they never once came out of my bag. Flat boots, sneakers, and slouchy denim it was. It’s fun for me to see how my style has evolved since moving to New York and now back to the west coast. And it was very apparent to me that I’ve swayed to the more casual side when I showed up to dinner with my New York girlfriends and everyone was in pumps except me. Actually I’m totally exaggerating because my boots did have a heel… but you get my point.
