Well sorry about the glitch on the blog these past couple of days–we’re back up and running! Since we’re just a day away from Feb 14th I thought this touch of pink and red from London was rather appropriate. These snaps are from our first dinner out in London at NAC Mayfair–highly recommend! A) The food is awesome (we shared a few small plates)… and be sure to get dessert. Our waiter talked us into the cookies and ice cream which of course you could just make yourself at home but this sure hit the wow spot. And B) the atmosphere is on point! Plus the downstairs is pink so you can get your instagram moment. (Take that Sketch.).
I wore my favorite blouse that I’ve had on heavy rotation, a ruffle-sleeved silk blouse from Isabel Marant. I waited for it to go on sale as I usually try to do and it’s proven to get it’s cost per wear. Paired it with another long time Isabel Marant fave, a wool blazer I scored a while back on The Outnet… with wide leg jeans and studded pumps for a pop of cool. My evening uniform of choice. Actually on this particular night my girlfriend Stephanie and I both showed up to our pre-dinner drinks in denim. Everyone else from the group (New Yorkers and Londoners) were all in dresses and chic pants. Steph and I gave each other that oops-we’re-totally-the-California-girls-showing-up-in -denim look. From that night on we left the jeans in our suitcases.
I’m not heading out tomorrow night (Valentine’s) but if I was I would probably re-wear this look–a red bag and pink walls are just the right touch for me. Oh but I did get a pink manicure… very un-Alicia of me actually!
