Before having Rex, when parents would mention their babies personalities I would just nod and smile but secretly I was thinking “how can you tell a 3 month old’s personality?!” Flash forward–they so have little personalities this early on and it’s so much fun to watch Rex’s develop. And naturally, with their little personalities comes style (or, the parent’s influence of their style, wink, wink!). I’ve mentioned it here before and you might think I’m crazy since I’m the one dressing him, but he’s got that cool guy look nailed. I can’t wait for the day when he picks out what he wants to wear (hey maybe he’ll be into a broader color palette than the hues I prefer to dress him in–grays, white, black, mustard), but until then I’ll continue to have fun dressing him and seeking out new brands.
At 19 weeks (4 months 3 weeks, so closer to 5 months) he’s in-between sizes right now which means my favorite 0-3 pieces are fitting snug and his pants are turning into capris. With spring on the way I’ve been scooping up some shorts and tees that he’ll be able to grow into and found some cute basics recently at Nordstrom. Like these camo shorts which were an absolute must!
On Me | Toyshop Bodysuit (which is actually super easy for nursing). Re/Done Jeans. Vince Slides. || On Rex | Gray Label Tee. Camo Shorts.
Rex’s Style | I’m a big fan of dressing Rex in sweatpants and leggings as I just think, if I was lounging and rolling around all day that’s what I’d want to be wearing! (Who wants to do tummy time in denim?) These cute star pants from Nununu are super soft and is one of my fave brands at Nordstrom for comfy cool baby boy style. For our morning walks I always put a beanie on his head and socks on his feet. I’m not a big fan of shoes at his age because they just fall off and honestly seem silly… but how stinking cute are these?
And while we’re talking about silly things when it comes to baby clothes does anyone else find it hilarious that they have pockets? What are they going to keep in there?
My Mom Style | I’ve honed in on my mom style which consists of high-rise denim paired with basic tees, stylish sweatshirts, cropped sweaters and cotton blouses (basically anything that’s easily washable and comfy). And always flats.
On Me | Madewell Top. Citizens of Humanity Jeans. Vince Slides. || On Rex | Nununu Tee + Pants. Burts Bees Shorts (also cute in navy).
Thank you to Nordstrom for collaborating on this post!
