Lessons in Jewel Layering with LAGOS

As a girl who loves to play with jewels, I couldn’t pass up the chance to style LAGOS’s new Caviar Icon Collection.  The rich hues of the precious beads had me digging through my closet, pulling out my fall favorites and anxiously anticipating my favorite season.  The great thing about pieces this versatile is that they can be worn casually for everyday just as easily as they can be dramatized for the evening. It all comes down to how you pair and layer the pieces.

Layering just a couple of Caviar gemstone necklaces balanced with a simple touch of gold on the wrists felt perfect for day. While the drama of the tassel necklaces paired with a stack of gold rings jazzes up a silk dress for night. I love that the tassel necklaces can be knotted, twisted or worn open–giving movement to any look.

When thinking about layering jewels I always keep in mind: color, width / weight of the pieces (varied sizes add interest), and balancing the stack usually with an odd number. Keeping the mix a bit unexpected by playing with this mix of elements is always best in my mind!
