One of the many highlights from my trip to LA last week was stopping by the Kelly Wearstler flagship boutique–if just for the decor inspiration alone. The store is right off of Melrose Place so I was pretty pumped to shop along there as well (Isabel Marant pre-fall! The Row!), and I had my first Alfred Coffee fix…although I was pretty bummed I didn’t get a mustache on my coffee. Is that only seasonal? Back to Kelly Wearstler. As enamored as I was with the decor and jewels, I’m surprised I even spotted this kiss tank over in the corner but as soon as I did I knew I’d be walking out of the store with it. In fact, I changed right then and there as my simple white tee just didn’t pack as much cool factor.
Oh and I also have to mention this high-waisted denim style I’m wearing here (also obsessed with the vintage wash). As you know, or actually you may not know, I’m only 5’1” which means I usually stay away from anything mom-jean / high-waist-like as I always assumed they wouldn’t be flattering. I was recently talked into giving this style a try and was pleasantly surprised at how slimming they actually are. Plus as a bonus the high waist sucks everything in.
