I kicked off this past holiday weekend wrapping up a big project which made me feel oh so good about kicking back and doing absolutely nothing Saturday through Monday. We grilled, binge-watched season 2 of Narcos, slept in, cooked big breakfasts and then walked it all off. The mornings felt cooler and the evenings required a denim jacket which meant it truly felt like September… my favorite month of the year! My calendar has quickly and surprisingly filled up already for fall which means I know it will be a crazy speed race to baby so I’m just trying to slow down, remain in the present, and soak up as much of this time with my guy as possible.
Even though it will remain warm here in Sacramento for well into the next month, I like to transition my summer pieces and start thinking about fall dressing. I’ve been pulling out my favorite boots, sweaters, and denim–to see what still fits and what pieces I may need to scoop up for these next few months. Swapping my sandals for boots and throwing an oversized cardigan over a summery duo such as this is perfect for making me feel a bit more of the season.
