As a true denim girl I thought I’d share the two blue jean styles you should have in your fall wardrobe…
cropped trousers and high-waisted flares. And if you really want to push your style this season try a cropped flare.
There are so many chic culotte and wider-leg cropped denim options this season offering a fresh and dressed up alternative to the boyfriend jean. Since I’m a shortie and didn’t have time to hem this pair before heading to New York they’re actually much longer on me. I wore them to brunch prematurely anyway (plus Chris approved so that’s all that mattered)–but I’m on the hunt to find the right seamstress so they will hit right above the ankle as they should.

Of course I had to ask my style muse and NY-bestie to weigh in our her favorite denim style for fall and she agreed with me–the high-waisted flare. Even if you’re not a fan of the flare there’s no denying that this style is ultra-flattering.
“I’m an eternal fan of high-waisted flares, especially these by Frame. They are perfect for the colder, fallish weather because you can hide chunky socks underneath and still look stylish and with slim, long legs. I’m also really into cropped cigarette jeans – with brogues and a red lip, or with sky high heels and a boyfriend blazer belted at the waist.” ~ Chris
