Color Crush: Lavender

From beauty to decor and style–I’ve been crushing on lavender hues and everything about the bloom and fragrance since this time last year. The fragrance and flower itself is all-around relaxing and rejuvenating–just what we need this time a year. My color crush first began with a lavender set of ceramic plates. I began filling our home with violet and lavender colored flowers (it was actually the subtle color palette for my birthday party last year), and most recently this crush has crossed over into my closet.

When looking for a dress for an upcoming wedding and bridal shower I spotted this Jonathan Simkhai slip style and fell in love. It checked all of my boxes–you know I love a slip dress but this one felt extra special with the twisted silk straps and lace detailing. I went with it and played around with a little purple shimmer on my eyes last week as well and it just felt so fresh. Saie Beauty also sent me their latest dew balms, otherwise I wouldn’t normally think to try a violet cheek glow, but it’s so gorgeous on. I loved wearing a bit of color on my lids and cheeks even just with a tee and jeans. Complete the look with a blush pink lip.

Speaking of blush, I’m loving the color story together: lavender with blush pinks. So pretty mixed-and-matched with the creams, neutrals, denim and blacks in my closet.

Even Jo Malone London’s latest fragrance story features lavender: Lavenderland. I’ve been spritzing their Lavender & Musk pillow spray nightly to round-out my lavender obsession… officially day-to-night. Feels like they’ve bottled up the first hints of spring.
