Closet Reorganizing for the New Season

I am big on editing my closet seasonally. I find it to be key in not only honing in on your personal style but also, key for not over consuming as you can really see what you already own. We tend to rebuy the same items again and again and instead a browse through your closet may drum up new styling ideas and ways to remix pieces. And also, what might be missing from your wardrobe that you may want to invest in that season.

I did some closet reorganizing at the end of summer and I love this new way I organized everything!! I meant to share sooner but I think it’s such a great way to re-excite you about the pieces you already own at any transitional part in the seasons.

Early fall is the perfect time as we swap out our swim coverups for our cooler weather favorites.

The Inspiration |

Organizing your closet (or a rack in your closet) like your favorite boutique!

I was thinking about my favorite boutique ever: Curve SF (RIP!!) How good their edit was but also, how much I just loved how they organized each rack. Grouping colors together but also more so organized by how you would style pieces. Which got me thinking about how fun it is to dress on vacation! You usually pack a few of your favorite pieces. Mixed in with something new and some standout special pieces with just a couple pairs of shoes / bag. It’s a minimal edit and all pieces that work together and you’re excited about. So this is sort of how I grouped some of my hanging things together.

A little seasonal swap and way of rehanging what’s in my closet got me excited about not only remixing my pieces in a fresh way but also having excuses to wear certain pieces and events / occasions I am looking forward to!

Carve out some time to try it! Or just dedicate one rack in your closet to this concept and see how you like it. A few closet basics mixed with those special pieces… think vacation dressing at home!
