Black Swimsuit Edit |
A quick hello today to share a few timeless black swimsuit finds! Post kids I just find it hard to find swimsuits I feel good in and that aren’t too sexy. You know what I mean? I want a suit that’s classic, that I feel good in, and am fully covered ;)… I like a two piece, but it has to be high-waisted and this year I’m leaning more and more towards one-pieces (especially if I’m going to be around other people, ha).
So I just pulled out my bin of summer clothes last week and had the chance to wear this classic black swimsuit again from Matteau which inspired me to share–because I really just can’t rave about this suit enough. It’s pricey but checks all of my boxes… A classic style you’ll have forever, chic, and full coverage and honestly just something I feel good in, which is all that matters when it comes to swimming with your kids. I’d also like to note that it can double as a bodysuit if you throw a summer dress over it. Also on my black one-piece swimsuit love-list is this one from Mara Hoffman (I own the two piece version and love). Another all-time favorite two piece I’ve worn for years is this set from Sold & Striped. Oh and I haven’t tried this one from Madewell but it looks like a great similar style for less.
I’d also like to mention these shorts! If you’re on the hunt for a pair, these are a newer-to-me pair this season from Citizens of Humanity and they’re the ideal summer cutoff (love the wash “Desert Wind”). A high-rise waist and just the right length of short.
