Fall Vibe: Black and White Stripe -

I was in Oakland most of this week styling a two-day shoot for a local tech company which means I got to crash at my sister’s place in Nobhill. The mysteriously foggy nights and chilled AM city breeze had me grabbing for this cozy black and white striped sweater and thinking more about the best fashion season (that’s just around the corner!): fall. Seriously, the winter-like summers in San Francisco are no joke and still somehow always take me by surprise, as it did this week. Naturally, a classic black and white look was my first thought when packing my bags for the week because you just can’t go wrong with this color palette, especially in the city. I tend to usually end up wearing some variation of the same thing when living out of my suitcase which is by design so I can pack as light as possible. Mixing and matching a few key pieces and sticking to the same color palette means I don’t have to spend any time thinking about what I’m going to wear for the day (especially when I have such action packed days on set).

Since I’m a such fan of stripes, this boatneck knit is one I haven’t wanted to take off–until of course I was back up north in that Sacramento heat–and has me all kinds of excited for the season ahead. * Note: I sized up in this ATM knit (as I usually do with my sweaters) for a more oversized fit and longer length.

Also, these black skinny jeans arrived just in time from 7 for All Mankind (they were a bit too long so I took the scissors to them so I’d be able to take them along with me). If you’re a fan of a slight stretch when it comes to your denim, this b(air) pair is uber comfy.

I do always pack a variety of heels and flat boots or sneakers so I have options depending on my mood and plans, OR more truthfully, how many hills I will be climbing that day.
