Isabel Marant’s fall 2014 collection was one of my favorites and so, as you can imagine, I was excited to score the vest that I’d had my eye on since it hit the runway last spring. While classic in concept, the oversized shoulders add that uniqueness that makes this layering piece so cool! And while I liked it open and boxy on the model (see the runway shots below) I’ve been wearing it belted to give me some kind of a waist.
Cargo-esque jackets and vests with a twist feel fresh to me at the moment and are ideal for our mild California winters. I went back through her collection when thinking about this post and found some more army-green inspiration that I’ve definitely been turning to lately.
